Arkansas!!!!

Woo Pig Sooie! We have been busy learning all about Arkansas this week. We have learned about the state "mascot", the state tree, the state flag, the state bird, just to name a few.
Having fun while learning is the key to kindergarten.... Be sure to ask your child what has been going on in our classroom this week!

Working Hard

We have been working hard for several weeks learning nouns, word families, and doing research. Here is just a little sample of things we are doing in the classroom!

Upcoming Events

Wow! All of the things written down on the upcoming calendar are a little overwhelming! Be sure to check your email often, check backpacks nightly, and look for notes about upcoming events....some of which are class pictures, book orders, and a field trip, just to mention a few. We have been hard at work, learning all about nouns, verbs, penguins, and place value!

Back to School

Tomorrow we begin our final semester of the 2011-2012 kindergarten year! I can't believe that time has flown so quickly. It seems like just yesterday I met my students, and already half the year has gone by.
I am very excited about going back to school. Over the Christmas break I have worked to develop new math games, more centers, and worked on lots of new reading ideas. I can't wait to see the kiddos tomorrow!
